Since the application is a needle procedure and the lip is rich in terms of vascular structure, the possibility of bruising is higher than other areas on our face. The bruise usually goes away within 1 week. Application of Arnica tb and hirudoid fort cream twice a day accelerates the recovery. Adequate compression of the bleeding area during the procedure also reduces the risk of bruising.
One of the mistakes made in lip fillers is that the excess filling applied to the border of the lip slips out of the lip immediately during or after the procedure. In order to avoid the formation of these swellings in the mustache area on the upper part of the lip, care should be taken in the techniques applied to the border of the lip and the filling should not be overflowed outside the lip.
Contrary to popular belief, lip filler is an application that should be done very carefully. It is not as easy as it looks and takes skill.
There are many veins in and around the lip, and the labial arteries that feed the lip itself are in the middle of the lip in depth. It is less likely to coincide with these arteries in the Russian technique and cannula application. The risk is much higher in the linear retrograde and 4-point technique. For these two techniques, it is recommended not to inject too deeply and to perform aspiration.
Filling and botox applications should be done carefully in patients with a long nose-lip distance and should not cause the lip to extend downward.
